I'm Suraksha from Tumkur district, I consulted Narmada Manjunath mam for career guidance as I was stuck with second year B.com and didn't have the motivation to go forward. First duty of a career counselor is to make students feel comfortable to open up.. Narmada Manjunath is a wonderful career counselor I have seen. She is so understanding and non judgemental. Hi, I'm Arjun. Its been two years since I started working in an organisation and at some point like most of them I asked myself whether I'm in the right space or does my strength and interests lies in some other field. This thought grew stronger and stronger which started to affect my work and that's when I decided to take professional guidance. I'm glad I found a great career counsellor like Mrs. Narmada Manjunath who has helped me in narrowing down my options. I really like the way she runs the sessions, it did not feel like I was talking to a counsellor. My daughter is so relaxed about her decisions regarding her engineering stream. She was so anxious before meeting NARMADA mam. I finished my 10th. I had no idea of what good skills I had. Hence was totally confused about which career option is suitable for me to choose in college next year. Some people advised me to go to science stream as it is respectable in society. But I didn't want to take up science because I didn't like it. After taking the career assessment I discovered many skills and interests which were exactly matching with what I was always good at. The career assessment is really very helpful. It makes us give thoughts about ourselves Iike what we are and we are not. The career assessment is the best tool to discover ourselves. She is such a good listener. I respect her a lot. My son had just finished his 11th std in commerce. But he was not willing to continue in the same stream further. He even scored less marks in the exams as a result he was demotivated and dull during his vacation. We were really worried. He had taken up commerce because my husband forced him so that he could do CA. We had no other option but to take him to a career counsellor. Meanwhile our family friend suggested Mrs Narmada Manjunath. She is so friendly and helpful that her counselling sessions to my husband and my son made us realize how equally important the child's decision was in choosing the career. She also made my son understand the care and need the parents have on the child's future life and that they always wanted their child to be the best. It worked great for all of us. My son took the career assessment test and by this time he was almost fine. Then she gave two good career counseling sessions with the career test report analysis and college selection guidance and he was so happy by the end. Now he has taken up animation as his favourite career option. It was his own decision. He is very happy now. We love to see our son so enthusiastic in starting his new journey. Friends please give your children also a chance to decide on their career. So that later on nobody should suffer. I would highly recommend Mrs. Narmada to others who want to seek career guidance.
